Rachel Barrett has been involved in fundraising, communications and political consulting in Tennessee, the Southeast and Washington, D.C. for more than 15 years. She currently leads Rachel Barrett & Company LLC based in Nashville, Tennessee.  

Rachel’s past and current clients include Lt. Governor and Speaker of the Senate Ron Ramsey, Speaker of the House Beth Harwell, Tennessee Senate Republican Caucus, Tennessee House Republican Caucus, GOPAC, Beacon Center of Tennessee, Jim Tracy for Congress, Members of the Tennessee General Assembly, National Association for State Treasurers, the Tennessee Financial Literacy Commission, Latinos for Tennessee, and ballot initiatives. Additionally, she is treasurer for a number of PACs based in Tennessee and served as finance director for Jim Tracy for Congress. She has also served as adjunct faculty for Lipscomb University and GOPAC.  

Rachel also served as Southeast Finance Director for Mitt Romney during two election cycles and as Restore our Future, Inc. Southeastern Finance Director during the 2012 presidential election.  She has also served as a consultant for the National Republican Senatorial Committee and National Republican Congressional Committee in the southeast.    
In Washington, D.C., Rachel helped organize national fundraising for the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) under the leadership of Tennessee Senator Bill Frist. Under Virginia Senator George Allen and North Carolina Senator Elizabeth Dole, she served as Director of Events for the NRSC and planned the 2004 Republican National Convention in New York City, the 2005 Presidential Inaugural, Republican Majority Dinners and the President’s Dinners for the NRSC.  

Rachel began her career as Communications Director for the Tennessee Republican Party and later coordinated fundraising for the Tennessee Republican Caucus and communications for statewide initiatives while working at Akins Crisp Public Strategies.  

Rachel is a volunteer with Patrons at Play, a Nashville 12th South neighborhood association that plans healthy activities for families in the 12th South area, McKendree United Methodist preschool, and Men of Valor, a prison ministry. She is also an active member of her Bible Study group.   

Rachel received her a bachelor of arts degree in political science from Lipscomb University and served as Student Body President.  She received her master in arts degree in political communications from Johns Hopkins University and wrote her thesis on campaign finance law. Rachel and her husband Colin live with their son William in Nashville, Tennessee.  


Reid Witcher has worked for Rachel Barrett for more than five years and specializes in political fundraising and compliance consulting for congressional campaigns, state elected officials, political action committees, and non-profit groups. He previously served as a legislative intern for Tennessee House Majority Leader Jason Mumpower in Nashville, and later as an intern for United States Senator Mark Warner (VA). Reid has experience interning with gubernatorial and state legislative campaigns.

A native of Bristol, Tennessee, Reid graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in political science. He is a member of the University of Tennessee Alumni Network Board. Reid and his wife Alexa live in Nashville, Tennessee.
